So, how do you think trees can be useful?

We discussed how trees can be useful to people:

If these paintings didn't have trees...Deforestation

Then we had to think on this:

If these paintings didn't have trees, they would...

So, we had a look at the same paintings, this time without trees.

We talked about Iain Woodhouse from Edinburgh University who maps forests with satellites.

We wondered why he did that.

Three paintings, one theme

We had a look at 3 paintings and tried to find out what they had in common.

Vincent van Gogh, Olive Trees with Yellow Sky and Sun
Constable, The Hay Wain
Georges Seurat, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte

We talked a bit about the paintings and what we saw in them.
